坩埚是一种用来制作合金的高级设备。用坩埚制作合金比用小缸更精确也更方便，

要制作坩埚，首先你得先获取一些比普通粘土更强的耐火粘土。耐火粘土可以通过粘土塑形制作成未烧制的坩埚。

塑形之后就可以用坑窑或木炭炉之类的设备将坩埚烧制成型了。

要使用坩埚，就得给它提供一个热源。任何位于坩埚下方的方块都可以作为其热源。木炭炉就很合适。

现在你就可以使用坩埚了。与坩埚互动打开坩埚界面，如右图所示。屏幕上方的区域显示的是坩埚内目前容纳的金属。其中第一行写的是如果现在从坩埚内取出将会得到的金属或合金的名称。其他条目则是现在坩埚内的剩余金属的种类和数量。

The crucible has nine slots where items can be added to be melted, and their liquefied contents will be directly added to the crucible. Molten metal containers such as Molds can also be placed here and they will be slowly drained into the crucible, allowing for precise control over your alloy's content. Holding Shift while hovering over a draining mold or vessel makes it drain faster.

Molds or other fluid containers can also be placed in the output slot, and will be slowly filled with the current content of the crucible.

根据热源方块的温度变化，屏幕左侧的温度指示器也会相应上升或下降。只要温度足够熔化金属，就随时可将金属取出。

值得一提的是，破坏坩埚并不会销毁它的内容物。你可以用这种方法将合金转移到其他地方。
