This page details all the tags that TFC adds, and uses for various functions. These have been separated out into Block Tags, Fluid Tags, Item Tags, Entity Tags, and a separate page for Worldgen Tags.

Block Tags

tfc:breaks_when_isolated When surrounded on all six sides by air, this block will break and drop itself

tfc:seasonal_leaves Leaf blocks that spawn leaf particles in the fall
tfc:insulation Common solid stone blocks, including stone, cobble, bricks, smooth, plus non-stone bricks
tfc:extra_cave_carver_replaceable Blocks that can be made into karst caves. By default, raw and gravel limestone, chalk, dolomite, marble, and basalt.
tfc:lamps All lamp blocks.
tfc:anvils All anvils.
tfc:logs_that_log Logs that can be cut down in entire trees via axes
tfc:workbenches All workbenches.
tfc:support_beams All support beams.

tfc:charcoal_pit_insulation Blocks that are valid for covering a charcoal pit, in addition to the default non-flammable solid blocks
tfc:charcoal_forge_insulation Blocks that are valid to surround a charcoal forge
tfc:charcoal_forge_invisible Blocks that are valid to obscure a charcoal forge without obscuring chimney access i.e. crucibles
tfc:bloomery_insulation Blocks that are valid for a bloomery multiblock structure
tfc:blast_furnace_insulation Blocks that are valid for a blast furnace multiblock structure
tfc:heat_insulation Blocks that can insulate the heat generated by a firebox
tfc:heat_passable Blocks that always allow heat from a firebox to pass through
tfc:scraping_surface Blocks that can be used for a scraping recipe
tfc:glass_pouring_table Blocks that you can pour hot glass on, to create glass panes
tfc:glass_basin_blocks Block that you can pour hot glass in, to create glass blocks
tfc:thatch_bed_thatch Thatch blocks that can be used to create a thatch bed

tfc:explosion_proof One of either can_break or cannot_break is used, depending on if powder kegs are restricted to only natural blocks or not in the config

tfc:can_be_snow_piled Blocks that can be replaced with snow piles

tfc:converts_to_humus Blocks that, when covered by a snow pile, will be replaced with humus
tfc:solid_top_face Blocks that are considered to have a solid top face, despite the block itself not having one. Currently, this only applies to hoppers, and is pretty much used only for allowing automation to interact with nest boxes.
tfc:lit_by_dropped_torch Blocks that will start fires, if a torch entity is dropped on them. This includes pit kilns and log piles, but also highly flammable blocks such as leaves or thatch.
tfc:mineable/propick Both these are empty by default, but provided for potential compatibility

tfc:rabbit_raidable Crops that rabbits will eat / break. Includes cabbage and carrots.
tfc:fox_raidable Crops / plants that foxes will eat and break. Only includes seasonal berries.
tfc:pet_sits_on Pets like to troll their owners and sit on inconvenient blocks.
tfc:monster_spawns_on In TFC, by default, monsters only spawn on natural blocks. This is to prevent the unfortunate case where a house is built with torches, which may go out, creating accidental mob farms. In general, we don’t want hostile mobs spawning elsewhere than underground
tfc:consumes_tool_durability Blocks that when broken, always consume tool durability, even if these are instant-break (plants fall into this category)
tfc:natural_regrowing_plants Blocks that will prevent natural growth nearby. This is used to prevent an area from overpopulating itself with plants.
tfc:animal_ignored_plants Blocks that most animals will be able to move through without getting slowed, as would a player.
tfc:bear_crawls_on Blocks that bears will use their ice-sliding animation on.
tfc:clay_indicators Used in the Field Guide to display indicators in a multiblock
tfc:salt_water_coral_plants Used in world generation to select random coral blocks. Separate from the vanilla tags because we don’t want to include vanilla coral blocks

tfc:powder_snow_replaceable Blocks that can be replaced with powder snow
tfc:cold_ocean_blocks Blocks that underwater lava springs shouldn’t place on
tfc:sea_stack_rocks Hardened rock blocks only. Used in worldgen to determine in what rock types sea stacks can generate.
tfc:thermometer_readable Blocks that the thermometer will visually attach to.
tfc:clock_readable Blocks which have functionality associated with the Clock block.
